A current immunization record is required prior to entry of the facility. If a
child is not up to date we must be provided with a written statement from your
physician stating a reason. We must be notified when your child receives any
immunizations. We are required by the State of Mississippi to keep these updated.
A child may be asked to withdraw from the daycare if immunization status is not
updated. We must have your child's immunization on a form 121.
Illness Policy
If your child becomes ill at the daycare, you will be notified immediately and expected to
pick the child up promptly. Children who are ill may not remain at the center.
Please have respect for the other children and parents. If your child has a contagious
illness/disease, please contact the daycare. We will then inform the other parents.
Illness resulting in vomiting, diarrhea or high fever should be cleared at least
24 hours before the child can return to the daycare.
If your child needs emergency medical attention, the child will be transported to the nearest emergency room and parents notified.
Our care givers are trained in CPR and emergency medical treatment.
Medicine Policy
We are only allowed to administer medication between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and
2:00 p.m. All other doses must be given by a parent or guardian. Medication can
only be given if the medicine log is filled out and signed by the parent or
guardian. Please do not leave medication on the front desk and expect the
staff at Lollipop Junction to give these meds. Please do not come in the
facility and tell a staff member the instructions for the meds. We must by law
have written permission for the administration of any meds. We will not administer
any prescription medication contrary to the physician's instructions
listed on the medication.
